I am newbie student in this thread. However, I have been searching for some projects with 6502 and I have noticed, that almost everyone uses AT28C256 EEPROM. Can I ask why, what is the reason? Programmers for those 28 series EEPROMs are quite expensive. Can I use 24, 25 or 26 series of the EEPROM for my Rockwell R6502AP? I am asking, because I really do not want to spend like 50 USD on the EEPROM programmer.
Thank you for all the answers.
