Whoa! I did not realize there was so much going on in the Apple ][ community!
I like the 8080 virtualizer. You think 8086 is next?

Haha! 8086 is much more complex... and there's the question of emulating a larger memory space than the 6502 has. But everything is Turing complete, so everything is possible...

I've linkified that particular talk in the head post. It rang a bell, so I checked, and it turns out this project got a mention in our final mos6502 roundup of posts from g+:
