No, unfortunately I wasn't able to find one when I went to get components last week. They seemed to have eliminated a large ammount of their ic's since I last went there. All I managed to find from the 65xx family was a handful of 6529's and a couple of 6530's. The only UART's I found were 8250's ...

I've had success interfacing and programming a 6850 with a 6502. It was very straightforward. I could show you what I did if you're interested.

Problems w/ my Apple //e
I just got an Apple //e and the keyboard doesn't seem to respond to anything that I type, that is, nothing I type comes up on the screen, all I get is the blinking cursor. Any ideas?

Found an excellent 6502 site
I was googling for datasheets on MOS's custom chips, and found this site.
http://highgate.comm.sfu.ca/~rcini/clas ... y_docs.htm
Mike or someone should contact him to put all of these excellent datasheets and scans of AIM65 manuals in the documents section. I found it to be very helpful.

In need of suggestions
I'm going to go to a liquidation outlet this friday to get some chips for my 6502 computer. Are there any rare/useful/prototype chips that I should look out for?
I already plan to get 6522's, 6551's, and oscillators. Any other suggestions would be wonderful.

Re: Need help on building my first 6502 computer
Writing to the ROM address sets the page latch, reading from the ROM address reads the ROM.
I want to be able to read the latch as well, so I can easily figure out what page I'm on. That's why I was thinking of using the ram, I could have a buffer so it writes to both the ram and the latch, and ...

Need help on building my first 6502 computer
I've been kicking around the idea of building a 6502 computer for over a year now, and I started learning 6502 asm a couple of weeks ago.
I know what I want, but I wanted to check and make sure that it should work, before I start, as I am on a very tight budget.
I have a potential memory map,(this ...
