Re: 6502 Kicad Symbol Library

Hmm, it worked fine for me just now, installed into KiCad 9.0.2 on Debian 12.11

tingo@z30b:~$ cat /etc/debian_version
12.11
tingo@z30b:~$ uname -a
Linux z30b 6.1.0-37-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.1.140-1 (2025-05-22) x86_64 GNU/Linux

tingo@z30b:~$ sudo apt list --installed kicad

Re: Poss. OT: Linux sotware for ATDH1150 USB programmer?

FWIW, UrJTAG works with lots of programmers, natively under Linux (and FreeBSD too) and you can use it with things like a DirtyJTAG adapter if you don't have a "real" JTAG programmer. I've used it to program different FPGA's (altera, Xilinix, etc.). Perhaps it will work for these chips too?

Re: PCB routing and voltages

Yes, unless you are doing a lot of current (more than 2 Amps) voltages as low as 12 Volts does not need extra trace width, or extra separation.

Re: Test harness for identifying fake 6502s

You have noticed that the DRC / ERC windows in KiCad have two tabs?

Re: Cmod + 65816

I didn't know what a Cmod A7 was, so I googled it: https://store.digilentinc.com/cmod-a7-b ... ga-module/
So it's an Artix-7 (plus more) on a breadboard module.

Re: 65C816 in a VIC 20

My supervixen expansion ( https://mewe.com/join/Vic-20 ) has a 65c02 and an integrated SD card reader. So all routines are custom, but available at boot. File format is the same (file system is FAT32). There is also 1064KiB of memory with banking, so you put the loaded data were you want it ...

Re: That is one gigantic floppy drive!!

OP: you could always try to get OUP-M (https://github.com/option8/OUP-M) running on your 6502 with that 8-inch drive.
Some 8-inch floppy drives use a 24 V DC motor; PSU'e for that are easy to find.

The seller is probably just fool fishing, you know, just in case a fool with too much money sees it.
