Insanity and greed come to mind... but then again, an original Apple I sold for over half a million $$ some years ago.... so who knows

I think some museum paid more than $900,000 USD for an Apple 1 a few years back.

MOS Technology/Commodore didn't become a Trillion dollar corporation, so me thinks the KIM-1 doesn't have quite the gravitas of an Apple-1.

Inflation adjusted, the KIM-1 would go for around $1000 today.

The seller is probably just fool fishing, you know, just in case a fool with too much money sees it.

This:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Synertek-sym ... 2139618376

has been listed for some time (months I think) too. Not sure which is the more desirable, but that's very expensive (IMO) for what it is, but who knows. It's obviously a sellers market...

That is a lot. I picked one up about 3 years ago for $255 and I thought I had paid a bit too much. That one is nearly $1000!

There were only about 200 Apple 1's ever produced. Here is a link to a site that keeps track of the know survivors.
