Does anyone have one of these?
Are they still available for sale from WDC?

"... I do question the scientific accuracy ..."
Indeed.
The video is a farce. British humor.
In one of the experiments they are evoking word messages from intelligent calcium.

Re: Super Mario (and Star Castle) on the 2600
No. The Atari VCS 2600 is not a PDP machine at all. It is an 8 bit 6507 based game console. The 6507 is code compatible with the 6502. The only difference between the two is hardware. No interrupts and the 6507 can only map 8K of memory.
Re: Retro SYM
Good point. But you only need one.
If you come across an Atari 2600 you can desolder the 6532 out of that. And they do show up on eBay once in a while.

Are the WDC W65C22 chips drop-in replacements for the 6522 chips required by this board?

Re: Least expensive used 6502 computer?
Hello,
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
I ended up getting a Commodore 64 and a SD card drive. That gets me rolling.

Re: Least expensive used 6502 computer?
I forgot about the C128. Interesting computer. Get a 6502 and a Z80 for the price of one. It also has the sound synth and sprites the VIC20 does not have.
I have been tinkering with C64VICE and the Merlin Assembler. Feels good to work with the 6502 again. However, the PC keyboard is driving me ...

Least expensive used 6502 computer?
I was wondering if someone wanted to tinker with a real 6502 with video out and full keyboard what would be some inexpensive choices? Seems like the VIC20 or Atari 400 might be the cheapest.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
