Greetings all.

A new version, 1.10, of EhBASIC is now available for download from my site. You can get the source and assemble it yourself or use a pre assembled image available in both raw binary and Motorola hex. Images are for the code starting at $C000.

No great advances but lots of minor, and a few major, internal tweaks.

Some undocumented features either removed or documented.

If you have trouble downloading the files, with Lycos insisting you visit some page or another, then either turn off whatever it is you're blocking from Lycos, or try 'open link in new window' instead of 'save target as'. I know this is a pain but the price was right.

Comments etc. always welcome and if you would be so kind as to drop me a note after downloading then I can get an idea of just how many people are using the code.

http://members.lycos.co.uk/leeedavison/ ... index.html should get you there.

Lee.

SBC-2 Users - V1.10 is ready

Post by 8BIT »

To All,

I have updated the ROM files for use with my SBC-2 computers for those who want the latest verion of EhBASIC.

Both SBC-2 v2.3 & v2.5 can download the latest sbc25os.zip file from my website, which includes EhBASIC V1.10, my ML Monitor, mini-assembler, and Xmodem/Intel-HEX downloader.

I've also updated my 65C02 Simulator for Windows with EhBASIC v1.10.

Please note, EhBASIC is now compiled to begin at $B000 vs. $C000 in order to allow for its future growth and to maintain compatibility with all of the other SBC-OS features.

Hello,

The link is, unfortunately, out of service.

Kindly, where can you find the latest version of EhBASIC online today?

Thank you.

Is the Kowalski simulator still around somewhere? The link seems to be dead.

Is that the only way to build EhBasic?

I built it using TASS. If I recall, you have to modify a few things, but its pretty straight forward. Things like " or ' around ASCII strings and .db or .byte declarations.

I'm sure it will work with other assemblers too.

That version used to be posted there, I wonder why they went back to 1.2.11?

Not so. 1.2.11 was the last version to be linked on the exifpro.com downloads page. The link to 1.2.12 was E-mailed to me by Mike Kowalski. I will be putting a copy of that file on my SBC site so it remains available should exifpro.com go dark.

It seems about a year ago they (exifpro.com) had it linked for a very short time but changed it back. I did see your posted link from about that time also. Not sure why they aren't posting the newest version in their own download area. I guess we can always check for updates just by changing the link, change the last '2' in the version to a '3'.

I wouldn't hold your breath on another update. When I queried about future updates, I was told, and I quote, "It's on life support."

Hello everybody,

since Lee passed away some time ago, who is the source of truth for EHBasic now and what is the lastest version? I would like to add EHBasic to my POC, but I'm not sure which source I should use.

Mario.

Hi Mario,

As far as I know, version 2.22 was the latest that Lee released for the 6502. I'm not sure where an unedited copy might be. I have an edited copy if all else fails.
