65802 inventory

Post by rehsd »

Is anyone aware of 65802 inventory available anywhere (assuming used)? I saw another post referencing http://www.pro-electr.net/search?q=w65c802; I'm not sure if I trust this source. I haven't had any luck finding other sources. If I can't find a 65802, I can use a 65816, but I thought it would be fun to try out the 65802.

Thanks!

The only source I know of is like a 65802; a 65816-6502 board here a2heaven.com.

See our sticky topic, "65xx parts sources, genuine and fake." I update the head post every time I get new information. You'll see Greenlight Electronics there with inventory, but I'm pretty sure the number they give in the "quantity" column is their stock number rather than the quantity. (Also, they say "Western Digital," but "WDC" stands for "Western Design Center.")
http://WilsonMinesCo.com/ lots of 6502 resources
The "second front page" is http://wilsonminesco.com/links.html .
What's an additional VIA among friends, anyhow?

What's the difference there between W65C802P, W65C802P4, W65C802P7, etc. ?

The P4 and P7 designations both refer to a part in a PDIP package rated for 4- and 7 MHz, respectively. I’ve not seen any WDC MPU with just P by itself.
x86?  We ain't got no x86.  We don't NEED no stinking x86!

I have requested a quote from Greenlight Electronics. I have not heard anything back. If I do get a response, I'll post an update here and in the sticky topic referenced above.

No response from Greenlight. Oh well, I'm moving forward with a 65816 for the circuit I'm working on.
