My first SBC is finally alive!

Some of the regulars here might remember me...I started designing and building my first 6502-based board back around 2004. And because of any number of things (mostly life events), I never got it finished.

Thankfully, things are better now.

I finally bought an oscilloscope about a month ago and started building up the breadboard again. A scope is an invaluable tool...I never would have been able to debug without it! I've learned a lot, both on my own and from the people I've spoken to on these forums. It was quite an amazing feeling to finally get characters echoed back to me after I typed them in the terminal.

Just wanted to thank everyone for helping and pointing me in the right direction. I would have had that much more trouble without you.

Next I'll go about testing my RAM chips, and then work on getting a cc65 target completed. After that I'll start working on an IDE interface and enough code to start a simple OS. I will be around here more often again, probably asking more questions...but hopefully I can give back too.

I've attached the only pictures I've taken so far...I'll take some more as time goes on and it does things more interesting than just echoing characters!

Great contrast there between the original board and the overflow board! Happy to hear that you got your project working - seems like you left off before some long-standing members even joined up here, including me.

Great job on solving the issues on wiring
And I can sign on the statement that oscilloscope is the tool for a hacker, you've gotten in to using it quite well in short span of time too
