W65C832 and W65C365

Found these documents:

I assume these were never produced, but it's interesting to see what might have been.

(That is, the W65C832 aka Terbium, 32-bit version of the 65816, datasheet from March 1990 but silicon never produced, and the April 1990 datasheet for the W65C365 which is the microcontroller version, with 8k ROM, 576 bytes RAM, and a collection of peripherals. Mentioning this in case the links disappear and to help searching the forum.)

On page 26 there is mention of the '832 and use of the WDM opcode for floating-point operations.

Unfortunately, it remains vapor-ware, and WDM continues to be a two byte NOP instruction.

Bill Mensch will be 71 years old in early February. I may be mistaken, but I believe he won't be designing anymore microprocessors. Also, aside from a few hobbyists, there isn't a market for a 65C832 or a microcontroller with an '832 core. It's too bad. I could really get into a 32 bit version of the 65C02, especially with some of the projects I hope to finish before I move on to the next life.
x86?  We ain't got no x86.  We don't NEED no stinking x86!
