Possible to change email address used for forum account?

Post by rehsd »

I'm sure this has been answered before, but I've been unable to find the answer. Can I change the email address associated with my forum account? If so, how do I make such a change? Thanks!

It can be a bit of a maze! Hit...
  • User Control Panel (top right of the screen),
    Profile (on the left), then
Edit Account Settings (on the left).
Good luck!

Thanks, Jeff! I was stuck in the maze. I was able to change my email address. Interestingly, when you change your email address, your account is set to inactive. An admin was able to help me get my account reactivated.

I didn't know that. But it sounds like a security measure, defending against the possibility that the attempted change is being perpetrated by some person (or bot?) that isn't you.

<sigh> The internet can be such an "interesting" place... :|

One other quick update... I did find a self-activation email in my new email account's spam folder. So, you don't need to have an admin help re-activate your account. Just check your spam folder.
