How to Build a Microcomputer … and really Understand it. By

Post by HansO »

I stumbled upon this 1979 book: How to Build a Microcomputer … and really Understand it. By Sam Creason.
Nice introduction, still relevant. Step by step build a (backplane) 6502 system with ADC, DAC, 1K RAM, 6502 CPU.
The fun and not often seen part is the diode based matrix board. No EPROM, program with small diode boards per address plugged in a matrix to form a PROM for the machine to boot from…

Scanned PDF of the book on my books section: http://retro.hansotten.nl/6502-sbc/6502-books/
