This car hasn't fuel injection but carb at series, only ignition are electronic - have distributor and mechanical ignition advance.
I do a intake mainfold , fuel rail , mout sensors - crank position and pulse wheel (look like GM type DIS), 1bar map sensor, coolant sensor , air intake temperature , lambda sensor and throttle position.
Now engine dont have a distributor but waste-spark ignition coil, spark advance and dwell controll by ECU.
ECU also drive injectors - 2 banks by 2 injectors , idle air valve for stabilize revolutions and give more air for warming engine, drive revolution meter , fuel pump relay, shift light, warming light and cooling fan relay.
If you thinking about aftermarket - i think look at megasquirt project on the net - its simple, full schematics and diagrams, source code and a lot of english language forums.
That project based on motorola 68hc908 mikrocontoller - asm code its verry similar to 6502 - i based my code for fuel calculations ,maps on megasquirt code.
Or if you wanna build some system on 6502 i can help you
Someone is developing a daughter board for the MR2 ECU to make it fully mappable, along with realtime datalogging. So I'm going to wait for that - it's not 65xx based though.
Hmm... I'm used to Mazda RX-7s and Ford/Chevy fuel boozers, so it doesn't sound too mean to me. But, it certainly does sound healthy, which to me is much more important anyway.
I've heard plenty of rotary engines that produce as much power as a space shuttle under full throttle, but you can barely keep the car running when sitting at a red light. That kind of defeats the purpose, seeing as how you need the power most when you're on the line, eh?
Anyway, the engine looks nice. Looks like you had some fun (re)building it.
