I've noticed the No Bus Turnaround SyncRams, manufactured by GSI Tech, I've used are now sold in minimum QTYs of 18, both by Mouser and Avnet. Seems like this applies to all memory sizes. This means at a minimum close to $1000 must be spent initially on just the RAMs. Not out of the realm of possibility, but unlike before where I was just dabbling, I must have a clear goal and mission in order to justify this. I really don't see this happening.
