New user id

Post by DblDragon »

Not really a newbie but I got a new user id. (Used to be Rob Finch) I changed pc's and couldn't remember my old id. After trying about eight different combinations I gave up. Things were complicated by the fact I could not use the same email address for a new id. Then I could not receive a message because Outlook could not access the email file.
Several hours later...

If you have access to the original email address, why didn't you just reset the password?
Want to design a PCB for your project? I strongly recommend KiCad. Its free, its multiplatform, and its easy to learn!
Also, I maintain KiCad libraries of Retro Computing and Arduino components you might find useful.

Before you post too much with the new ID - unless you're terribly fond of it - get in touch with Mike N, I'm sure he can help you regain access.

There is a forum account with the username "Rob Finch" (profile). The email address used with that account is a gmail.com address. I sent a password reset email to that address. If you still have access to that email address, you should be able to regain access to your old forum account.

Okay, I got the email with the password reset, and when I tried logging on it didn't work. Said the password was incorrect.
So I tried logging on with my old user id and old password (which I have written down) and it worked this time ???
