Hi to all,
I've always wanted to do a simple 6502 project because I want to learn more about the inner workings of a computer and electronics in general. I just started reading the 6502 primer. But while Im doing that I want know the parts needed so I can get them immediately because from where I am it's almost impossible to get hobby parts. So I would have to order online from other countries and it takes ages to arrive.
So, my goal for this project is very simple.
1. Blinking LEDs
2. A button to control the LEDs. Turn on or off or slow or fast blink.
Here are parts I already have:
1. A MOS6502 chip with 4084 date code. So I want to work on the old NMOS chip for now
Please tell me the recommended parts needed for this simple project but with room for advancement in mind. I mean parts that can accomplish the blinking led as well as more advance ones so I don't have to re order.
Also include an EEPROM Programmer you recommend.
Need help getting parts for my first 6502 learning adventure

Welcome. What country are you in? (Depending on what country you're in, various forum members may be able to offer helpful info on where to get parts.)
Edit: I see you added the location to your profile after I wrote the above.

The "second front page" is http://wilsonminesco.com/links.html .
What's an additional VIA among friends, anyhow?

There is a very large amount of information here, including some on how to obtain parts. BTW, be sure to stop over here and tell everyone a little bit about yourself.
x86? We ain't got no x86. We don't NEED no stinking x86!
