Anyway, good news. Sometimes eye issues just develop over time, and we cope to when we break down and have them looked at and fixed (glasses, surgery, etc.) And "suddenly" much clearer, "this is MUCH better", and our quality of life that we have been unconsciously compensating for is much improved.
It's the "shock absorber syndrome." Shock absorbers (dampers in the UK and other places) wear slowly and the deleterious effect on the vehicle's ride and handling comes on very slowly. When the shocks are finally replaced the car owner is amazed at the improvement in the vehicle's behavior.

Thanks. There is an issue with the right eye, evidently caused by slow healing of the cornea. I'm not able to drive because a new glasses prescription can't be written until the eye is sorted out. It'll be several weeks before that happens.
