Part Order
I'm thinking of ordering some stock of WDC devices to supply to the Euro-zone members of the forum. If I was to do this what would people like and what kind of quantity? I need an idea of volume to get prices from the supplier.

Re: Part Order
I can get the following parts at the figures below + 20% UK VAT
W65C02 @ £3.40
W65C21 @ £3.25
W65C22 @ £3.50
W65C51 @ £3.95
W65C816 @ £4.25
W65C134 @ £6.50 (PLCC Only)
All except the last are available in DIP and PLCC. I'm going to order a mix of parts for myself but am happy to add in requests from others and them mail them out. You'd need to pay for your parts and the mail costs but it will be much cheaper than Mouser or Farnell.
Post here if interested.

Re: Part Order
I'm interested in getting at least some more parts.
How soon do you need to know precise part number, quantity and packaging?

Re: Part Order
I would be interested in a few chips, but I'm not in EU although I'm in Europe (Norway) - would that be a problem? I'm not sure how shipment within EU differs from without.

Re: Part Order
Norway is close enough. I don't think UK postage rates differ that much internationally. Its mostly size and weight driven.

Re: Part Order
Yes postage to Norway shouldn't be much different from shipping to any near EU destination, possibly exactly the same. But I was actually thinking about possible differences in customs requirement. I know that to ship to Norway from UK you'll need to write a CN22 (or equivalent) label - and I would have to make sure that I didn't buy components worth more than £22 from you BTW - and what I wasn't sure about is if that CN22 label is something you can skip for those inside the EU. If so then there would be more hassle for you to mail chips to Norway than to e.g. Germany or France. If so I can always wait it out, I just noticed that Jameco will apparently get those WDC65C51's I was thinking about in a few months time. Their shipping is, although not the cheapest, still considerably cheaper than Mouser.

Re: Part Order
A bevy of bits arrived this morning by UPS. I'll find some chip boxes to post them on.

I just wanted to publically thank BitWise for organising this 'group' purchase - now I just need to get around to building the things that the bits I now have are for!
