Aha, so that error posted above is probably the same as I see randomly - it's just displayed differently on Windows (or maybe IE) than in Chromium or on the Android browsers, which are what I use. When I get those I simply edit the url so that https becomes http and reload, and it works. I still haven't figured out a reliable way to provoke that problem every time, except the one that I mentioned earlier - whenever I post anything in a thread, at least when starting with the 'frames' version, it'll return to a https (SSL) link afterwards.

Seems to me that all SSL functions and redirections should be disabled on the site: it's just not right.
Typically it's used to secure passwords when logging in, and then the sites kick you over to the normal http route. But you really don't want to dump the https/SSL route.

What kind of cryptic error?
Dunno if this is the same as what BDD's been getting but I see this "unexpected message" error a lot. I notice it doesn't seem to mean much -- it's as likely to appear after a successful operation as after an unsuccessful one. :?

Same message. I was about to post that but you beat me to it. :D
x86?  We ain't got no x86.  We don't NEED no stinking x86!

I made a small modification on the control panel, let me know if the problem persists.

Have there been any more SSL issues since my last fix?

I made a new post since you announced the change, and the error message I was used to seeing didn't appear. So that seems like cause for optimism :)
In 1988 my 65C02 got six new registers and 44 new full-speed instructions!
