Every year in the Rose Parade, my old school, Cal Poly Pomona and the sister school, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, run a float in the parade.
In the early 80s, before the whole professional float business really took off, the Cal Poly floats were routinely awarded for their advanced (and then innovative) use of animation etc. on the floats.
The controller for those early floats was an AIM-65.
