G+ page for mos6502

Post by fachat »

Hi there,

I have created a Google+ page for the 6502, under https://plus.google.com/u/0/108984290462000253857/posts
I was afraid that with the rising interest in the 6502 (or so it seems) on "modern" communication channels like G+, there would be fragmentation, so I'm trying to provide a central resource there.

The goal is to attract people interested in the 6502, and if further detail discussions come up, point them to this forum.

André

Edit: corrected link

Hi André, everyone,
I think we need to drop the /p/pub from the end of the URL.

Some of us are ungoogled, and refuse to use the beast... Perhaps a more neutral location would be better.

Luckily it wasn't facebook, i don't have a fb account, and i don't want to have one. I can't stand the idea of everyone having to know what i am up to... And also being bothered by people that i don't wish to talk to, but again if you block them, they might offend.
I got a G+ account by accident, when i created an email for my site. I think that you can view the 6502 G+ site without a G+ account.

Yes, that's the crucial thing. You might do even better if you visit from an incognito window (Chrome) or the equivalent in another browser. If Google thinks it knows who you are, you'll be offered the "upgrade" to G+, but if it doesn't find any cookies you'll get straight through.

The page is on G+ precisely to reach people who use G+, so putting it elsewhere wasn't an option. I have an idea that we should collect links to each (weekly) post with very short descriptions and put that catalogue up here: perhaps by updating the head post. [Edit: actually it's another thread, here.]

Part of the plan is to keep mentioning this site and this forum, to spread awareness of it.

Cheers
