Forum theme changes?

Post by drogon »

I presume someone is fiddling with the theme....

So while you're at it, can you up the contrast level for the icons representing topics with new/unread articles vs. ones that are "caught-up" ? It's now very hard to make out...

Thanks,

-Gordon

I’m finding text bracketed with code tags to be more difficult to read.  The text has gotten smaller and the contrast poorer.
x86?  We ain't got no x86.  We don't NEED no stinking x86!

We're not fiddling unnecessarily, rather the version of the forum software we were running has now reached end of life and no longer receives security updates. The old theme files don't work on the new version, so we unfortunately can't go back to them. A significant effort was already made to make the new version as similar as possible to the old version. While it's possible we might be able to make it even more similar, it's not terribly likely given the new constraints. Thanks for understanding.

Please understand, however, that we did not intend to change the look or functionality of the forum. Let's not use this thread to vote about whether the changes are good or bad, there's not much we can do either way.
