What PCB layout software to use for 6502 circuit simulation?

Hi!

I am fairly new here, since I have mostly been on the Denial forum.

I have a project thats borderline to work, but for now only a home project. With that in mind I don't want to spend too much on the PCB layout & simulation software. I was thinking of Proteus but finding a model of the 6502 was more like mining old labs and the only thing that looks usable is to import a multicomponent model (http://www.6502.org/users/dieter/m02/m02.htm) which is not really what I want.

Anyone had any success at finding a good platform with a 6502 included?

I use DipTrace. It has a low learning curve and a real easy way to create models and that's what I do. I have created all the component models for every device I use. That way I know they are laid out how I like them and that the patterns are correct. If you need your models to be SPICE ready, that's another thing. It can do that, but I never use simulations so have never taken it to that extent.
