Sheep no longer

Post by johnsheep »

Dean Swift who you may know under the handle that includes the word “sleep” died on Friday.
Dean was particularly interested in in codecs and getting a video to play well on 6502. She also explained the merits of using Lego boxes.
Some may know that Dean also made spherical sheep.
You may not recognise the person from the above but Dean always wrote in excess of 3,000 words.
For the last eight months Dean has had cancer which is why Dean has not been posting and only in the last 7 weeks had finally received treatment that Dean had tried so hard to get for over six months. Dean was dismissed lots and lots of times as having little wrong even though Dean had lost a lot of weight as only able to drink not eat.
I am Dean’s best friend John who Dean may have mentioned under something like anothersheep.

I'm sorry for your loss John, cancer is such an unfortunate way to go, and one that has a particular personal connection for me. My condolences to you and anyone else who knew Dean personally.

Such sad news, John! And yet I thank you for delivering it to us.

In addition I have a clue or two (regarding "something like anothersheep") which I'll share with you by email.

I'm new here, so all I can say is that I'm so sad for your loss, and for all those who knew them. It sounds like the board (and the world) will be poorer for their absence.

Very sorry to read this news. I always enjoyed "sheep week," although I have to confess I often didn't make through every word of every post.
