visual 6502 wiki

Post by dominicbeesley »

Hello,

The Visual 6502 wiki seems to be down - is this a known problem?

Not sure who to contact.

Welcome. BigEd just posted that it is currently down, but you can use the archived copy until it's back up.
http://WilsonMinesCo.com/ lots of 6502 resources
The "second front page" is http://wilsonminesco.com/links.html .
What's an additional VIA among friends, anyhow?

Is the wiki dead...I see it still has an error. Is this something we need to raise money (or time) to help with housing?

It's a bit stalled - Greg hasn't responded to my emails. The last semi-coherent plan was to reimport it into a github wiki from the archive.org copy. That's something which could be automated of course.

What I can't do is change any DNS. I could change the links in the main site, but would prefer to do that with Greg's go-ahead.

Delighted to note that Jeff Berkowitz has put together a beta version of a reconstruction of the visual6502 wiki, in the form of static web pages based on a github repository. As such, it's not a wiki but Jeff could in principle accept further contributions. It's also forkable, of course. Many thanks to Jeff for all the work behind that, and thanks of course to the various contributors to the original wiki (and for visual6502 for having it under a suitably reworkable license.)
