Orientation is one of the aspects of the
EXIF info that's stored along with the image itself. It's on my list to learn more. Meanwhile, I do know enough to "brute force" the problem. (ie, rotate the actual image data, rather than tweaking the
specification for how software ought to render the image on screen).
