Dear Forum Members,
The original object file after a successful assembly exercise is in HEX format. Will the EPROM work if it is programmed using the HEX format? Or is it a MUST that the HEX format be converted to the BINARY format before programming the EPROM?
Thank you.

"ZERO ERROR ASSEMBLY"
Thank you Daryl. I can now assemble with zero error. I think a little smile is not a bad idea. Now the next step is to load the generated object file on to the EPROM (I have 2716 and 2732 Eproms). Remember I once mentioned that I have an EXPRO-80 Eprom Programmer. Can I have a step by step procedure ...

NO DIFFERENCE
The situation is still the same with the downloaded TASS assembler. Both the OBJ and the LST files are trash. The command:
tass source.asm source.obj source.lst command did not work for the three.
It worked for two that is either tass source.asm source.obj or
tass source.asm source.lst. However ...

ONLY OBJ FILE CREATED
On successful assembly, both obj. and list files should be created. However, my TASS created only the obj. file named Testprox.O64 (Note the capital 'T' to differentiate it from the source file with small 't'). When I tried to open the obj file with wordpad, it displayd trash. I later downloaded ...

MY TASS NOW WORKS
Thank you Daryl. It works now. I was able to assemble without any error. But how do I get my assembled listings (file) and possibility of converting to an object file too. I have also taken a good note of the slight differences in syntax between tasm and tass.
Once again thank you.

DOWNLOADED TASS STILL NOT WORKING
Dear Forum Members,
Below you find the result of my tass execution. It could still not locate my testpro file even though the file was saved as testpro.asm in the same 6502tassx directory. Hence, I have not been able to make any appreciable progress.

Re-My 6502 chip runs & stops
Thank you Garth. I checked your earlier project with the url given and I must say I was impressed with the fact that one could use a nand gate instead of -138 for decoding. I was surprised that you used nand gates to decode all the ICs in the Bench-1 illustrations. Please I need some tutorials on ...

AN ADDENDUM
I want to add for your information that when the sync signal appears on pin 7 of the 6502 chip, the addresses appear too. And when it disappears, the addresses disappear also. I am so sorry to bother you but the reason is that I am very eager to learn from your experience.
Thanks.
Thanks.

My 6502 chip runs & stops
I am just putting together a 6502 circuit comprising the processor, a 2732 Eprom, a 6116 Ram and two 6522 VIAs for a traffic control project. From the knowledge gained from Chris's project, I clocked the 6502 from a 1Mhz-crystal controlled clock circuit. I conconnected the 6502 as instructed ...
