Brilliant, thank you all.
Just to be specific about what I am mulling over, I am wondering how difficult it would be to make a breadboard VIC 20 compatible, still using the VIC chip but stripping out much of the I/O like the light pen and the disk drive stuff, and installing all of the possible ...

VIC 20 6502 clock conundrum
Hi guys,
I am trying to understand the VIC 20 schematic as an intellectual exercise, and I have come across a bit I don't understand - can anybody help?

The bit in question is the clock pin. As it currently is, there is a clock feed taken off to go elsewhere ...

For those who are interested, I have made a whole bunch more videos, which now gets so far as actually to involve a 6502 (actually a W65C02).

JECS-1 Computer build videos - comments invited!
This is exciting for me - if nobody else...
I have started making my videos about my breadboard 6502 computer, the JECS-1.
The purpose of this series of videos is to be a bit like the BE6502 series, but aimed at total and utter, never seen a wire or an IC, beginners. To that end it goes into much ...

Video card question
Hello!
I posted earlier that I am putting together a be6502-style breadboard computer, which is proceeding apace and I will be publishing my beginner mistakes and progress on YouTube shortly.
I'm thinking ahead now here. I'd love to be able to develop it into a machine which can output graphics ...

Re: Statement of intent
Fortunately I have seen enough to order breadboards from BPS (via Mouser), I have a plan which starts very much in the same vein and the same speed as Ben Eater, and I have a large party pack of ceramic capacitors!
If you are interested, it's basically going to start out as a BE6502 minus the LCD ...

Hello lovely people!
I am embarking on a project which some of you might be interested in, so I thought I would introduce myself and let you comment...
Basically, I have literally no background in computer science at all, and no knowledge of electronics beyond a few Velleman 555 timer kits ...
