I can confirm that the transformers on the 2 devices are different. The additional tap on the primary is for 110v/120v on the interplex and 230v/240v on the Thurlby models.
The resistance values are as follows:
PRIMARY WINDING
LA-160 357.4R and 325.6R 240V/230V
IE1620 40.6R and 37R 120V/110V ...

Re: Repurposing a spare Thurlby LA-160B Logic analyser.
Thanks for your replies. I'll do a visual inspection first to see if there are any wiring differences between the two transformers. I'll then try to examine the windings with my multimeter (resistance measurements first for safety reasons) via a few clip on/soldered on wires. I may be lucky and ALL ...

Re: Repurposing a spare Thurlby LA-160B Logic analyser.
I've not got any of my own photo's at the moment, but here is a page giving an overview of the UK model (and a further link to more detail)

The one from the USA is the Interplex IE1620 which was made in the UK but exported. This one has a ...

Repurposing a spare Thurlby LA-160B Logic analyser.
I have a 2 off 1980's vintage Thurlby LA-160B logic analysers. These use the Rockwell R6502P CPU. I have one that works at 240v and 10 MHz, which I'm going to use for its original purpose. The spare one is a 120v model, which only has a different mains transformer and a 20 MHz crystal. I'm going to ...

Re: New 65C02 SBC Project
Can you share your kicad files? Just want to learn about how the chips are connected? Am I free to copy your design or get my own PCB made(for my own use only) if you're able/willing to share? Thanks.

Thanks everyone. Some good advice and links. I'll concentrate on learning some of the assembly code first. Thanks.

I've got an XGecu T48(TL866-3G) programmer. So I should be OK. I also hang out on EEVBLOG now and then (same user name).

Re: New to 6502-Got a book, but what next?
Thanks. Will the Searle design work with the 65C02? Are the 6850/68B50 ACIA chips still available? Same with the ROM and RAM chips?

New to 6502-Got a book, but what next?
Hello,
I'm new to the 6502 and have just bought a used copy of '6502 assembly language programming (2nd Ed)- Lance A Leventhal'.
I have some experience with PIC microcontrollers (assembly and CCS C compiler) so I understand some of the basics. I'd like to use SDCC C compiler and Oshonsoft 6502 ...
