I find the 6502 silicon to be a work of art. So I created a multi-color 3D model of the die that I could print and display.

Thought I'd share it here for other 6502 fans to print and enjoy. Freely downloadable from MakerWorld at the link below.

One version is interactive/educational, which has each die layer on a separate sheet, plus a labels layer that shows major functional blocks and the bonding pads. Another version is a more static display with all layers permanently connected.

That is awesome. I wonder if it is possible to somehow 3D-print a working 6502?

Easy. All you need is 600nm fabrication factory

Why stop at 600nm?  Let’s take ’er down to 300nm and crank up the clock to new heights.  Plasmo will be beside himself with joy at the thought of running his 65C02 at 60 MHz.  :D

Speaking of plasmo, he hasn’t been here for nearly two months.  Hope he’s okay.
