New easy-install Dev65 release

Not far away, Gungwald announced a new release:
I'm the owner of the fork. I will create a buildable version and a runnable release. Sorry to hear about Andrew. That is a terrible loss.
of the dev65 assembler that includes an installable binary. I've made it as easy as possible to install on Linux, Mac, and Windows. I wanted to support my Mac G4 but unfortunately this version requires Java 1.6 or greater. The current version of Java is Java 11. If you have that, you're good. Yes, Java version numbering is stupid. If you're still using Java 8, like so many companies are today, it's time to move on.

If you have trouble, open an
issue and I'll fix it.

When I originally raised concerns about not being able to run Dev65, I thoughtlessly added it to a thread about assembler macros. Even though Dev65 had been mentioned earlier in the thread, my posting didn't really belong there, and I should have created a new, separate topic. Apologies.
Thanks to BigEd for chasing up the Dev65 issue on my behalf, all those months ago, and for setting up a separate topic, like I should have done!
And of course, many thanks also to Gungwald for his updated fork.

He was a prominent, very knowledgeable British member and contributor here who died about eight months ago.

Andrew Jacobs, then, I assume? I had no idea - I'm sorry to hear it. I know his work and his posts. That's a heck of a loss.

Ugh, that’s terrible.
