Yet another sort-of SBC system...

Imagine my surprise when I read through this page recently and discovered Janik's system is so similar to my own... except he's further along than me.
I wanted to build something like I used to design years ago, and see if I could still do it - but I'm trying to do lots of it in 74HCT and proper-sized DIP packages, so I can understand what's going on.
At the moment, the design - as yet untested - includes a 6502 cpu card, which can page up to 4MB of further memory; a 2MB memory card; an IDE interface; a PAL or NTSC video output; and an interface card for PC mouse, keyboard, and a real-time clock. The lot are on a backplane and all the cards are half-eurocard (80 by 100mm) so I can use free Eagle... the whole lot should fit in a 120mm cube
I won't go into gory details here (save to note that there are two AVR Mega8 chips doing specialist stuff, for which the software still needs writing) - if people have interest it's explained at http://www.nailed-barnacle.co.uk/pointl ... tless.html
I'd appreciate any comments. I *hope* I haven't done anything too strange
Cheers,
Neil
