KIM-1 Mechanic Drawing?

Anyone have a mechanical drawing of the KIM-1 with the mounting holes?

If you're not able to find the info elsewhere then I suppose I could create such a drawing (based on measurements of my own KIM-1). But why would the mounting holes interest you if you don't have a KIM-1 to mount?

(Just curious -- I expect there's a logical answer to this.

Hey Jeff,
I need a little help, getting a newly found KIM-1 working again.
I have checked the voltages on the 6502 and the 2-6530’s and they look good.
I have also check the voltages on all the resisters above the 7 segment displays.
I did see a little bit of life, when I was tapping the Reset key on the keypad, I could barely
See the LED’s light up. Now nothing.
I even checked the voltage on the reset pin of the 6502, when the reset key is pressed, and that looked good.
I am using the same power supply for both systems, so I do not know, if that maybe the problem. As the 12V
Might be interfering somehow.
I hate looking at that huge schematic unfolded on my counter, and would prefer to look at one online at my desk.
Anyway, if you have any ideas, of how I might get this rev G working again, or if there is something different
About the rev G’s that I do not know about, I would appreciate your help.

You have
two KIM-1's?! Sweee-eet!
But I notice you only have seven 2102 1K by 1 RAM IC's installed in that Rev G, so what's up with that? U12 (next to the crystal) is missing; there's just an empty socket. I guess you know the machine really does need all eight RAM's!
Good luck with your project. I won't be able to help much this week, I'm afraid, but there are others here whom you'll find willing and capable.

Novell2NT, do you have any comment about that RAM? The other seven do not have sockets, so it seems someone (the previous owner?) removed U12 and installed a socket so a new part could be put in place. Presumably a problem was suspected regarding U12, but we don't know for certain whether that notion is accurate.
I'm afraid voltage tests on the LED display and so on won't be helpful, as you're more likely to observe a symptom than the actual cause of a problem. I suggest you begin by verifying that the CPU has proper +5V and clock signals applied. Other basic tests are possible too. Can you tell us what test equipment you have available?
I wouldn't worry about the differences between Rev A and Rev G.

i "had" one at the time i posted this. i have since sold it. i just wanted to know if there was an original mechanical drawing that had exact details. i ended up just doing detailed measurements of the board, and adding a lot of tolerance on the holes. i got some laser cut acrylic through ponoko.com which worked great!
if anyone needs a copy of my dxf file... give me a shout...
