Can be seen in operation from 1:19 to 1:42

Indeed.
The video is a farce. British humor.
In one of the experiments they are evoking word messages from intelligent calcium.

It does ramp up the absurdity quite slowly. And the tone is spot-on for that period of educational television.

Indeed. I only watched a little bit in the beginning at first, but as you get a bit further it becomes obvious that it's a bunch of nonsense. Well, at least the Beeb was real
