OSI forums back online, starting from scratch

The OSI forums (
http://www.osiweb.org/osiforums) had been brought down by spambots, but is now back online.
Bad news is that all the forum discussions are lost. and this is a clean slate.
Good news it that this is a new version of phpBB with better spambot resistance.
Please feel free to stop by and indulge your nostalgia by sharing your OSI stories, memories, thoughts, old software, or even new ideas or projects.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Do we need to reregister or will our old details work?
It looks like reregistering is needed but it could just be my memory.

Ok, silly question. I just scrolled down and saw that the total registered users was four (now five) and I'm sure there were a few more users than that on the old forum.

You know, when I see "osi" in "osiforums," I think "Office of Special Investigations." Clearly I am mistaken.

When I go to the URL mentioned, I get a 404 - Not Found message.
When I go to
http://www.osiweb.org/, I get a directory listing.
I thought you might want to know. In the mean time, what is OSIWeb?

The forum link has always worked. The issue is that without the /osiforum path, you just get a directory listing.
I double-dog dare you to try it.
Though, we still don't know what OSI stands for.

Ahhh, Ohio Scientific! My first real computer was a Superboard II. Now this brings back memories.
Actually, my first computer was a KIM-1. It never made it home. I picked it up from the store on my ’74 Yamaha RD350 (a motorcycle) but got wiped out by a half-ton truck on the way home. I survived but the bike and the KIM-1 succumbed.
With the insurance settlement I bought the Superboard and a ’76 Suzuki GS750.
As they say, life interrupts life.

That's been fixed.
