Canadian chip sellers friendly to hobbiests?

I'm sure this question has come up in the past but a quick search of the site didn't show anything recent so I'm going to risk getting in trouble by asking...

Can anyone recommend a store or website to order parts from, preferably in Canada? There are a few electronics stores in the GTA (Toronto) that sell breadboards, wires, and a few "kits" but I haven't found one that sells the chips I'm looking for.

Right now I am looking (specifically) for:

MAX232 or MAX233 in DIP format (5v)

Either a 5v serial flash chip in DIP format or a simple SD/MMC header I can connect to a solderless breadboard (preferably with a 5v to 3.3v power converter built in (but if not, I might be able to mangle something together).

In general I'm trying to find a place I can reliably go to as my hobby progresses.

They look promising.

P.S. It took me about 10 seconds to decode the message in your signature.

I've been trying to contact you by PM and E-mail but it's not getting through. You have my E-mail address.

I will delete this message later unless a discussion somehow forms out of it.

I get mine for free :)
You can order them as samples from http://shop.maxim-ic.com/
They also do reset supervisors, battery-backed RAM and RTCs (and a whole bunch of other stuff)
