That does restrict mounting but since the power plug sticks out on the same side it did not seem like a big restriction.

To clarify, this is the voltage regulator heatsink, not the 95108's. You can also leave the leads on the regulator long, so it sits high enough over the caps that the heatsink can be mounted with fins inward.

Either way will work well.

You are absolutely correct and I should have made it clear I was talking about the voltage regulator heat sink.
