I think this stacked VGA interface piggybacked on top of a 128K RAM is worthy of an entry in this thread. More information about it here:

I designed a pc board for the stacked VGA interface. It works just like the stacked VGA, but somehow the pizzazz is gone--it is just another boring pc board...
I think it would be more interesting to make the stacked VGA producible, but I'm scratching my head on how to do that.
