I use OpenOffice too, since MSOffice is the only thing that i can't get for free from Microsoft as a student... But sometime presentations and docs made in OpenOffice look messy when opened in msoffice and the other way around.

Argh! Still getting 403's! No code, no URLs, and still it won't take it.

Hmm...I just put up a fairly long-winded post with code pasted in. No 403.

It seems to be a simple minded string match. You could mail the problematic post to Mike if you can't narrow down what the string in question is.

I looked it over and cannot see anything in the post that would excite the ire of the forum software. It's mostly some code, and not much of it.

I did. However, as of late he seems to be preoccupied with other matters and evidently isn't paying a lot of attention to 6502.org. Both Garth and I have content that was submitted some time ago that hasn't seen the light of day. This, plus the error 403 issue, is why I decided to get my POC website up and running. As soon as I get the download functions work I'm done posting here.

I've disabled the firewall entirely. You won't hit it again. It provided some valuable protections that could have prevented the incident in May. I tried hard to adjust the firewall so that it's not annoying. A large part of the problem is that it does string matching to detect malicious code injection, and posting code snippets tends to cause false positives. I had previously disabled many of those rules but there are hundreds of rules in total and it's hard to predict which ones might cause an issue.

It's pretty frustrating to hear you say I'm not paying attention, and I don't think it's very fair. Looking in my sent box, I've sent you at least 9 emails about 6502.org between May and June. You hit the 403 several times and each time you posted here and sent me personal email. I tried to respond to each one as promptly as I could (within hours usually) and disabled the particular firewall rule that was causing you trouble.

Right now there are still many areas of the site that aren't working still (including my own project pages). I'm sorry about your submissions but I have prioritized fixing the existing site before working on anything new. I do not always have as much time as I would like to work on the site but I do work on it regularly.

Now i can post my mystical string that always caused a 403:

streaming or processing(using programmable logic of course).
