I've pulled the trigger on getting the PCB fab'd with JLPCB. Should be interesting to see if I've got everything right

.

Congrats on that! Hoping the PCBs work out for you. Oddly. I usually end up with some stupid glitch and end up making a 1.01 version to fix it... hope yours works out better than most of mine! Do post some pics when you have them in.

Cheers and will defo post pics

With regards to mistakes etc - yeah, been there and got the T shirt

. Not *all* of mine have had such issues, but a fair number have. Fortunately I can usually mod the board and update the design for next time (if there is one).

Yes, this is a highly influential design and,
for a while, it was my favorite. Specifically,
jfoucher's Planck was my favorite due to its broad hardware and software support. However, it is a card system which requires surface mount soldering and CPLD programming. One EuroCard 6502GPD skips the most awkward steps, is faster, cheaper, more compact and four serial ROM sockets is a highly desirable feature. 6502GPD
definitely influenced me and the
EuroCard format may have directly or indirectly influenced
BigDumbDinosaur's POC2.0. My current favorite is
Eris due to software support which exceeds Planck and hardware which is almost as beautiful as 6502GPD.
6502GPD with VGA, Planck/Eris software support and 512KB serial ROM filing system would be a dream configuration.

Apologies, I've been distracted with real life events over the last 6 months, so not really touched this project apart from getting the PCB spun. I will look at populating it as soon as I have enough free money to afford the parts (I have some, but not all). One annoyance is that some of the text on the silk screen didn't make it across (was on the wrong layer) on the right side for some of the signals. I have occaisionally run into this with Eagle, but not since moving across to Kicad.
Here's the PCB:

- Bottom side
