It's a question of how good the seal is in the byte-dispensing mechanism. 'Pull' people have to overcome a partial vacuum, 'pop' people have a bit of positive pressure.

<laugh> I think of reaching up and pulling a box off a stack of boxes, or pulling a box of Christmas decorations down off a shelf in the garage for my wife. No air pressure involved (except maybe my grunting).

Funny how specific what it makes you think of is.

We had one of these where I used to work, which is what I always think about. Anytime you tried to pull a styrofoam cup off the stack, 5 or 6 would come off and you had to push them back on.
