I was looking for this IC months ago...

I ordered some before posting this :P
Unicorn Electronics is also a good source for interesting parts.
They also have the 6845s in stock for the same price:

I think I'll be trying your link Toshi. They charged my account $23, I dont think I am getting any 6845's. I put and order in for $45. 2 unwirewrap tools and 10 6845's. I was charged but no invoice to email so who knows what I'm getting. I think maybe just the unwirewrap tools+tax. Usually a company will send the confirmation email after shipping weight has been determined after packaging the order... We'll see. I better get at least the unwirewrap tools.

Just got the backorder today... Seems like 10 Hitachi (HD46505SP) 6845 equivalents. Looking at the pins, the ones on the end of the package are scratched a little. Other than that they look like brand new 40pin PDIPs. Definately not taken from old boards, I would bet money. Maybe scratched from logic testing...

Looking closer at the packages, I can see leftover plastic dust where the saw cut through to separate the packages. These are definately new. No date code...
