SuperCharger Disk BASIC can be used to write programs with up to 2 MB of BASIC and Assembly code mixed together using the BASIC concatenator operator like the BBC micro.

Here's KC OS 12, a new GUI operating system for the Atari 2600 written in DISK BASIC

The animated OS has three clickable program zones that load programs, one is another BASIC program and the other two are Assembly programs if anyone cares to try to guess which are which.

Programs can load other programs or return to the OS, variables are preserved in low RAM:
