As I am wrapping up my 70's/80's inspired computer, I thought...why not build an appropriate wood case for it too? LOL
When we moved into this house a little more than a year ago, the previous owners left a large piece of lumber under the deck that's been rained on for who knows how long. It's rotten in places and in bad shape.
But considering wood is so expensive these days, why not use it?
It's inspired from some of the wooden cases I've seen on the Apple 1, the Apple II case, and somewhat the Sol 20.
I still need to sand it and wait a few days(weeks) for it to completely dry out before I stain it.
And yes...it's as heavy as you might think it is.
BTW, the keyboard is from a C64 that I am repairing. The actual keyboard I will use is a spare Commodore 16 keyboard that I have.
Oh, and the top board can be flipped to either side. So if I want to "showcase" that giant knot/hole, I can. hahaha
