if i remember well, not all 6502 version are static (with no clock speed lower limit)
where can i find which one?

btw: are also i can find a simple description of phases?

tnx

All the CMOS ones (65C02) can be stopped indefinitely with the clock high. WDC's with the part number ending in "S" (which means all of them for the last ten years or so) can be stopped in either phase. The old NMOS ones have a minimum clock speed of 50 or 100kHz.

thank you.
do you have experience in using a parallel port (well, a usb parallel port adapter) for drive clock?
i'm not sure about the frequency that i can handle with it.

no experience there, but if you're trying to simplify the clock circuit, the CMOS 6502 has an onboard oscillator and can use a crystal with no outboard oscillator, or just a resistor and capacitor if the frequency accuracy is not critical.
