My name is Daryl Rictor and I've designed several SBC's based on the 65C02. I would like to encourage those who have purchased one to share their experiences and project ideas here. Also, for those who are just curious, please feel free to join in.

If you would like more information about my SBC's please visit my web site at http://sbc.rictor.org/

Happy computing!

Daryl

Nearly all of your images are broken. When I view them in either Microsoft Windows or Linux, Internet Explorer or Mozilla or Phoenix/Firebird, the overwhelming majority of your pictures end up as 404 Not Found errors.

Is there any way to fix that? I'm particularly interested in your video circuitry, but I can't see anything because all the images are improperly linked.

NOTE

You make extensive use of the backslash in your filenames when linking to images. This is not proper; use the forward slash instead. E.g.,

Code:
  Here is a sample picture of the display output:<br>
  <img src="pics\tv2.jpg">

should instead read:

Code:
  Here is a sample picture of the display output:<br>
  <img src="pics/tv2.jpg">

Thanks

Daryl,

The only broken picture I can find is on the page ..
http://65c02.tripod.com/sbc25/info.html
.. and is "pics\sbc23.jpg" I guess that's a typo.

For reference this is with IE 6 under both Win2K and Win Xp

Lee.

Interesting that you are able to see the pictures, and I am not. However, if I hand-type the URLs to the pictures in my browser's address bars, making sure to change all \ characters to /, I can see the pictures.

Very inconvenient, but at least the data is there.

Thanks for posting the schematics for your video circuitry -- the 74ACT715 chip seems to be just the ticket for creating a fully custom video display interface. It seems to do everything the 6545/6845 CRTC chips do, but with a lot less baggage. I would even suspect that, being a 74ACT device, it probably has higher availability and cheaper price too.

First of all, my apologies to all for messing up the pictures. I reloaded the majority of the html files on Friday and must have overlooked a few things. I'll get them fixed as soon as possible. I'll be sure to use the forward slash vs. the backward one.

Lee,
The sbc23.jpg on the SBC25 page is wrong. Since the birth of my new daughter, I have not had time to build one of my SBC25 boards yet and so there is not picture. As soon as I do, I'll add its picture.

The 74ACT does do a lot but it's not perfect. The gating signals are good but I had to add some external logic to get it just right. The fact that it does NTSC and PAL is a definite plus.

I'm still wanting to put the video into one PLD or FPGA....but that will be some time off.

Well, off I go to make repairs....

Daryl

Ok. I've changed all the back slashes to forward slashes. All images are either jpg or gif. If anyone finds anymore broken picture links, or anything else wrong, either post it here or email me direct.

Sorry again for the trouble...I do all of my html using notepad.exe and I know there are some imperfections....

I hope to have my video project and ethernet project moving again soon.

I bought my 74ACT715 from Arrow.com at a cost of $7.57 each. While not "cheap", it does make the video design simpler.
