I've had a Tek 2230 for a while. The only thing that's died is the PSU fan. I like it mostly because it works in both an analogue and a digital mode. Analogue meaning it's quick and doesn't look like a slideshow (although some of the newer scopes do great at displaying) and digital meaning I can do a single trigger to capture waveforms and take measurements.
I do like that my H-P unit is analog, but I have to be realistic about what I'm using a scope for these days. Other than some audio amp diagnosis and repair, everything I'm doing is digital. The H-P is having problems at high sweep rates, which is where I seem to run it most of the time. The unit is nearly 40 years old and was a rebuild when I purchased it. Scopes are not like fine wine: they don't improve with age.

That's okay. Every so often, I look back at something that I wrote and wonder what was I thinking.
While it's good to strive for linguistic perfection, as long as you can be understood your English is good enough.
