It's very much meant to be complementary to practical enthusiasts' forums like this one, or retrobrewcomputers, or anycpu. It's for interesting findings and discussions, and will, hopefully, appeal to the same interests that the now-defunct communities in G+ did: Retro Computing, Vintage Computers, Computer History, Unix Retrocomputing, and so on.

We've got over 128 members, and 64 active members, and still growing. Please join in, and help spread the word. There's an email digest and also an RSS feed, but active members are much appreciated. It's a work in progress - please help by joining in!

How does this forum differ from Vintage Computer Forum?

It's a good question. I've never spent much time at VCFed, partly because it's very big. So I can't really answer! But I suspect VCF is mainly used by collectors and topics are about refurbishing, operating, buying and selling machines.
