Not a replacement for the 6502. But definately awesome. Since there is no offtopic topic, i just decided to announce it here.

I do not see this as a 6502/65816 replacement. I do see it as a cool peripheral to hang off the 65816's bus though.

I was just looking through the latest issue of Electronic Design magazine and they have an article on the Propeller.
