If satpro doesn't want to pull the trigger on a new thread, I would like to invite you to do so. In my experiences, I have never had the impression that you were the least bit gun-shy.

"Hijack" is a bit strong, wouldn't you say? The same space to say that could have just as easily been used to finish your opinion about editors. I'll be glad to start a new thread and will, but to be fair, my original response and followup was to something alamorobotics mentioned regarding the WDC compiler and the problems he was having with it. :D

In the mean time alamo, I'll send you some info.

It's just a convenient word to use, not related to what happens when hostiles take over a flight. :D

Hey Alamo, thanks for the post. I hadn't thought about the "Game-of Life" in quite a while!.

First, whilst 12 or 15 or 18 years old, the commercials for the board game "Life" had this annoying--though vaguely pleasing--jingle that sang "You could be a winner at the game of life". Looking back, the game appears to be atrocious; it invites all children playing it to be either a Lawyer or Doctor; as if those were the only choices available/marketable!

My second experience, with the entirely-different "Game of Life" that you are engaging in, came when a professor of mine (circa 2000 A.D.) lent/gave me a copy of "Darwin's Dangerous Idea", by Daniel Dennett. I might just go home and read those sections again, and return to this post, at some later date, with intelligent comments!

Thanks again, for reminding me to (1) read philosophy and (2) implement it!
